    Thanks Denise. I wasn't so sure about the shiny effect, but I wanted light cancelling (for naps, etc.) and these were the only ones I could find that were in a light color and still thick enough. The light blocking shade (behind the curtain) actually does most of the work. And they don't look shiny during the day -it's enhanced from the camera flash I guess. But yes, thank you! If you ever need curtains and you're in Philly, Marburn Curtain Outlet is the place to go!
